Fla Boca Apple Store

Just traveling around Florida with my husband and stopped at the Apple store in Boca Raton. (using their internet access now). I checked out the iphone and held one for the 1st time. I'm very impressed with the correction of the keyboard. It did a great job correcting my spelling mistakes.

I asked about a new book on iLife 08 but was told it wasn't out yet (no surprise there). Then I asked one of the employees if Numbers in the new iWork was scriptable, (as in Apple Script) and he had no idea what I was talking about. Even asked me what was Apple Script!! How can Apple hire an employee and not train them to know about the product. He couldn't tell me anything! I'll look it up online myself but that was a disappointing experience at the store.

Update: Went to the Apple Store in Naples - Very nice mall by the way! They at least knew what Apple script was but couldn't tell me if iWork was scriptable. They did show me the new Apple keyboard, and even though its thin, it still has 2 usb 2.0 ports on each side of the bottom. Still not sold though, I'm going to refuse to buy a new keyboard unless it has the Apple key on it. :-P
